RN Wound Care Specialist PT | Reno LTACH

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Specialist coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients; participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Position reports to the Director of Wound Care.

Requirements

Education and Training:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working
• Certification from approved Wound Care Certification course (preferred)
• Current CPR certification (must maintain)

Experience:

• Two (2) years direct patient care experience required
• Experience in emergency care, critical care, or ET nursing (preferred)
