RN Wound Care Specialist - FT Days | Corpus Christi North

Responsibilities

• Coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients.
• Participates in patient and family teaching.
• Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
• Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• A current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working.
• Certification from an approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years direct patient care experience required.
• Prioritize experience in emergency care, critical care or ET nursing is preferred.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of wound care principles and practices.
