Responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning resident care and facility operations
- Coordinate with other resident services to ensure that residents' total regimen of care is maintained
- Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program
- Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident's discharge plan as necessary
- Provide oversight and guidance to licensed staff (LPNs, GNAs, CMAs) on resident care
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, current licensure with State Board of Nursing Examiners
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
- Experience in a long-term care facility, preferably in a weekend supervisor or similar role
