RN - Urgent Care Centers - Part time

Schedule: Part time, 24 hours (2-12 hour shifts) per week, D/E with weekend requirements. Work sites include Canandaigua, Farmington, and Newark locations.

Provides quality nursing patient care to Urgent Care patients under the supervision of the providers and Practice Management. Your suggestions are welcomed and your ideas are part of the solution in a culture where interdisciplinary teams come together to improve care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, give, and document nursing care
• Assist the provider with patients, including preparation of examination rooms and patients for visits (e.g., taking vital signs, explaining procedures)
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the provider
• Assist with special procedures, including minor procedures
• Complete all results and patient callbacks within scope of practice, following up with patients and providers as appropriate
• Assist in development and implementation of clinical nursing policies and procedures
• Work with appropriate system personnel to ensure clinical operations comply with Joint Commission, NYS DOH requirements, and other regulatory agencies

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a New York license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Graduation from an approved school of nursing
• 2-4 years of recent nursing experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family practice, urgent care, acute care, occupational medicine, or outpatient care nursing
• Experience using an EMR preferred

Pay

Position pay range: $35–46/hour. Starting pay based on experience.
