Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and manage unit operations.
- Develop, implement, and enforce employee policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant care delivery.
- Mentor and support less experienced nurses, offering clinical guidance and career development advice.
- Establish and uphold standards of care for the unit to ensure resident safety and well-being.
- Review resident records and monitor the quality of care provided to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Conduct case reviews and ensure that individualized care plans are consistently followed.
- Address inquiries and concerns from residents and their families in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure the unit is adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies to prevent shortages and ensure smooth operations.
- Advocate for the unit’s interests to upper management and collaborate in addressing issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in a Unit Manager role (preferred).
- Valid RN License required.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
