About the role
Sentara Healthcare is hiring an RN Unit Coordinator for the 2S Oncology Team at Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. The position is full‑time (36 hours) on the day shift. The 2 South Oncology unit is a 26‑bed area that provides exceptional care for leukemia, lymphoma, radiation, gynecologic, hematologic disorders, and end‑of‑life patients, preparing nurses for a valued oncology career or any nursing path.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area
- Provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department
- Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives
- Focuses on and simplifies workflow
- Contributes to the development of staff
- Increases staff satisfaction
- Promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service
Requirements
- BSN required
- 18 months RN experience in an acute care setting
- Oncology experience preferred

Pay
The base pay range for full‑time employment is $47.42 – $68.63 per hour. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Actual pay within the range varies based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
