About the Role
This position functions as a unit educator, clinical instructor, and research facilitator within a Medical/Cardiac ICU, providing evidence-based patient care across diverse age groups.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop clinical skills through education and mentorship.
- Perform as a clinical instructor and assist in staffing as needed.
- Develop patient care plans aligned with national standards and research.
- Serve as a resource for the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
- Educate staff on new equipment and procedures; coordinate training sessions.
- Support patient education, safety, and health management efforts.
- Monitor trends, implement educational strategies, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Administer medications, coordinate treatments, and deliver direct patient care.
- Participate in professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSN or MSN preferred).
- Minimum 18 months of related experience.
- RN licensure and current BLS certification.
- Instructor certifications in required clinical standards within 90 days.
