RN - Unit-Based Educator

About the Role

This position functions as a unit educator, clinical instructor, and research facilitator within a Medical/Cardiac ICU, providing evidence-based patient care across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop clinical skills through education and mentorship.
• Perform as a clinical instructor and assist in staffing as needed.
• Develop patient care plans aligned with national standards and research.
• Serve as a resource for the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
• Educate staff on new equipment and procedures; coordinate training sessions.
• Support patient education, safety, and health management efforts.
• Monitor trends, implement educational strategies, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Administer medications, coordinate treatments, and deliver direct patient care.
• Participate in professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BSN or MSN preferred).
• Minimum 18 months of related experience.
• RN licensure and current BLS certification.
• Instructor certifications in required clinical standards within 90 days.
