The role involves serving as a unit educator, master teacher, and preceptor in a Medical/Cardiac ICU setting. Key Responsibilities Include Providing educational leadership to enhance patient care through evidence-based practices and clinical protocolsDeveloping and implementing clinical skills strategies using a master clinician/preceptor modelPerforming as a clinical instructor for nursing students and assisting with staffing as neededCreating patient care plans aligned with national standards and researchServing as a clinical resource and consulting with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality careEducating staff on new equipment and conducting in-service trainingSupporting patient and caregiver education, problem-solving, and health managementCollaborating with educators and leaders to plan curricula and monitor educational outcomesDelivering direct patient care within nursing protocols across diverse age groupsParticipating in professional development and adhering to patient safety policiesAdministering medications and coordinating treatment activitiesWriting treatment plans and facilitating group therapy or education sessions Qualifications Include Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN); Master's preferredAt least 18 months of relevant nursing experienceCurrent RN licensure and CPR certification within 30 daysUnit-specific instructor certifications within 90 daysPhysical ability to perform heavy work and work in hazardous environments with PPEStrong communication, leadership, and clinical skills required for effective education and patient care
