RN - Unit-Based Educator

About the Role

Provides clinical and educational leadership in a Pediatric ICU setting, functioning as a unit educator, master teacher, and preceptor. Facilitates evidence-based research, develops patient care plans, and ensures adherence to policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical education initiatives to improve specialized patient care
• Perform as a clinical instructor and assist in staffing
• Develop and implement patient care plans based on research and standards
• Serve as a resource and consult with the multidisciplinary team
• Educate staff on new equipment, supplies, and protocols
• Assist patients and caregivers with education and health management
• Monitor educational strategies and ensure safety standards
• Deliver direct patient care across all age groups, including medication administration and treatment coordination
• Participate in professional development activities
• Promote patient safety through policy adherence and proactive measures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN)
• At least 18 months of relevant experience
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification
• Instructor certification in required clinical skills within 90 days
