RN Triage - Pulmonary

Role Overview The Registered Nurse Triage (RN) - Pulmonary is responsible for patient care via inbound and outbound telephone practice, assessing caller needs through clinical assessment, education, and problem-solving. The role involves phone triage, patient education, continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization, referrals, and maintaining exam rooms. Key Responsibilities Assess patient needs and provide appropriate guidance and interventionsManage immediate and ongoing patient needs, focusing on acute and preventative careCoordinate tests, referrals, and insurance authorizationsMaintain a clean and stocked exam environment Qualifications & Skills Current Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification (AHA)Preferred: Office RN experience and BSN degreeStrong communication skills in English (written and verbal)Ability to handle high-stress situations and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working flexibly Additional Information Benefits include premium pay, career development, health options, tuition reimbursement, retirement plans, paid time off, and community involvementRole requires some travel and flexible hours to meet operational needs
