RN Triage - Pulmonary

About the role

This full-time Registered Nurse Triage (RN) position in Pulmonary care provides patient care via inbound and outbound phone calls, assessing needs through clinical evaluation, patient education, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform phone triage to assess patient needs
• Coordinate testing and insurance pre-authorization
• Facilitate referrals and maintain exam rooms
• Manage both acute and preventative patient needs
• Demonstrate excellent customer relationship skills and clinical judgment

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN license
• CPR certification (AHA)
• Office RN experience and BSN preferred
• Ability to handle high-stress situations
• Effective communication in English
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong self-starter with excellent assessment skills

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
