RN Triage - OBGYN

About the role

The role is for an RN Triage in an OBGYN setting, responsible for reviewing patient voicemails, conducting telephone assessments, and directing patients to appropriate care or providing home medical advice.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient concerns via phone or MyChart, triage high-risk symptoms to emergency services when necessary.
• Schedule appointments for non-emergency cases and prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
• Perform immunizations and assist with diagnostic procedures such as lab tests, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
• Record vital signs and patient data electronically, ensuring patient comfort and preparedness for provider visits.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Science and 1 year of telephone triage experience.
• Strong nursing assessment skills, communication, and patient education abilities.

Additional Information

The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with scheduled hours on M-W-F.

Compensation range is $35.15 - $54.48/hour, based on experience.
