RN Triage - OBGYN

Role Overview: The RN Triage – OBGYN provides telephone and in-person patient assessments, directs patients to appropriate care levels, and performs clinical procedures in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities: Review patient voicemails and communicate with patients via phone or MyChart, offering medical advice or directing to emergency or urgent care as needed.Conduct nursing assessments, intervene based on patient needs, and ensure understanding through teach-back methods.Identify high-risk symptoms such as chest pain or severe headaches and immediate referral to emergency services.Schedule appointments for patients requiring non-emergency care.Assist with patient intake, record vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and perform immunizations and diagnostic procedures (e.g., venipuncture, specimen collection). Qualifications & Skills: Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS CPR certification are required.Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Science and 1 year of telephone triage experience in a medical setting.
