RN Triage - Medical Triage

Position: RN Triage - Medical Group Care Team Redesign Location: Arlington Heights, IL Hours: Part-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, rotating Saturdays Responsibilities Review patient messages and communicate via phone or MyChart, guiding patients to appropriate care or providing home medical advice.Conduct telephone assessments, determine patient needs, and intervene accordingly using nursing skills.Evaluate patient understanding, convey information to clinical staff, and utilize resources for sound clinical decisions.Assess urgency based on patient history, and coordinate emergency or routine care as needed.Offer home medical advice, arrange appointments, and consult with physicians.Deliver excellent customer service, address caller concerns, and participate in care coordination and quality initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Current Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification.Minimum three years RN experience; telephone triage experience preferred.Office RN and BSN preferred.Ability to handle high-stress periods, communicate effectively, and perform physical activities including lifting up to 40 lbs.
