About the Role
Registered Nurse Triage (RN) specializing in Gastroenterology, responsible for patient care via telephone assessments, education, and intervention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct phone triage to assess patient needs
- Manage patient care, including placing continuous glucose monitors
- Handle testing, insurance pre-authorizations, and referrals
- Maintain exam rooms
Requirements
- Current Illinois RN license
- CPR certification (AHA)
- Preferred: office RN experience and BSN
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to handle high-stress situations
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 lbs, and reach
Schedule
Part-time role (20 hours/week, two 10-hour shifts) with office hours Monday to Friday. Some travel required.
