RN Triage - Gastro

Hourly pay range: $33.96 - $52.64. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

About the role

This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week (two, 10-hour shifts). Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education, and advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Manage patients' immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention.
• Perform phone triage and patient education.
• Place, test, and manage continuous glucose monitors.
• Handle insurance pre-authorization and referrals.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms.

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Office RN and BSN preferred.
• Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive use of hands.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
