About the role
The Telemetry registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the Telemetry units. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for the vulnerable patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the Telemetry units.
- Supports, cares for, and educates patients and families.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement plan of care.
- Monitors and reports changes in patient condition.
- Documents patient care activities accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Recent acute care experience
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships across the Health System
