What We Require

• Education: Associate degree or diploma in nursing from a State Board of Nursing–approved program.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in the clinical discipline with demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification (C-EFM) may be required as determined by the department.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP may be required based on specific work unit.
• Other Minimum Qualifications: Must demonstrate effective leadership, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to prioritize, delegate, and coordinate care and operational workflows. Requires the ability to coach staff, participate in performance evaluations, and support operational and quality initiatives. Must demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
