Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Shift Supervisor to lead our nursing team on the PM shift. This position plays an important role in ensuring quality resident care, supporting nursing staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and coordinating the clinical needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff during the assigned shift.

- Coordinate resident care and ensure individualized treatment plans are followed.
- Monitor medication administration, treatments, blood draws, and other nursing services.
- Conduct nursing rounds and monitor residents' conditions and progress.
- Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide education and guidance to nursing staff, residents, and families.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of nursing documentation.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Aid with quality assurance and ensure standards of care are consistently maintained.
- Address staffing and clinical issues that arise during the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.
Qualifications
- Current, active Wisconsin RN license required.
- Previous nursing supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Experience in a hospital, long-term care, skilled nursing, or related healthcare setting preferred.
- Inpatient, long-term care, and/or palliative care experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and clinical judgment skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong computer and documentation skills.
