About This Unit
The Nursing Administration team offers an opportunity to gain experience and a broader skill set by providing coverage for nursing departments. This role allows you to enhance your skills while working across departments while still feeling part of a team. The RN Supervisor is a key team member monitoring hospital operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and organizes personnel and resources to meet patient care functions in a cost-effective manner.
- Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and ensure timely and effective communication between individuals and departments.
- Represents organizational leadership across all venues on a 24-hour basis and collaborates to make decisions on behalf of the leadership team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) Preferred.
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
- One year of formal nursing leadership experience for external applicants Required.
- One year of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience for internal applicants (e.g., Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership in Shared Governance Council) Required.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) license Required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required.
