About the Role
This is a full-time (exempt) position at Scripps Memorial La Jolla, a Magnet-designated hospital recognized for distinguished care and nationally ranked specialty programs. The role involves supervising the Interventional Radiology nursing unit, ensuring efficient patient flow, and coordinating care transitions within a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Responsibilities
- Share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans.
- Ensure appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology (Teletracking) and adherence to care processes for bed placement, patient transfer, transport, room cleaning, and discharge.
- Facilitate the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care, including active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care.
- Direct hand-off to the next appropriate level of care.
- Develop and implement standard work and process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience, with at least one year in a leadership role.
- Current California RN License.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH certification required upon completion of department orientation.
- Leadership experience and strong communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to problem-solve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years of IR experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.

Pay
$64.66–$93.61/hour.
Schedule
Full-time, exempt position. Monday–Friday hours may vary, typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
