RN - Stroke Unit - Full-Time Days - $20,000 Sign-on Bonus
About the Role
Join our Cardiac Medical Unit (CMU), a 35-bed department with multidisciplinary teams of RNs, LPNs, nurse technicians, and ancillary staff. We provide compassionate care for stroke and dialysis patients, serving as the designated stroke floor to maintain Level II Stroke Accreditation. Responsibilities
In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families. Plans and implements appropriate interventions, evaluates effectiveness, and adjusts the plan as indicated in a timely manner to provide safe and effective care.
Requirements
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or current Registered Nurse License from a Compact State (must be in the nurse's state of residence)
- If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting, or if it has been more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, nurses must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
- AHA ACLS within 120 days
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days
- ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 365 days
- RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date
- Stroke CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date

Full-Time Days | 36 hours per week
