RN – Neurology- FT, Days (Up to $20k Sign On Bonus)

About the role

Mercy Hospital South, located at 10010 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, Missouri 63128, offers a full-time position for Registered Nurses (RNs) in Neurology 8E. This role welcomes both new graduates and experienced nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Captures the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a relevant degree (Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred.

Skills

Nurses should have the ability to:

• Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties.

The pay for this role is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Full-Time, 36 hours per week, with a Shift of Day, 7:00AM-7:00PM.

• New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $10,000
