RN Staff - Women & Children Adult ICU - PT -3rd Shift
About the role
AICU is an 8-bed Medical/Surgical Adult ICU at the Huntsville Hospital for Women/Children campus. Orientation consists of working with an experienced staff and length of orientation is typically 6-12 weeks depending on experience. AICU is the only adult critical care unit at the Women/Children campus.
Responsibilities
- Care for a variety of critical situations including hemorrhage, critical OB, CRRT, ventilators, and titrating drips.
- Train to care for a variety of critical situations including hemorrhage, critical OB, CRRT, ventilators, and titrating drips.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to provide excellent care and compassion to our customers.
- Participate in Shared Governance, Clinical Ladder programs, and CEU offerings available online & at Corporate University.
Requirements
- Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
- Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
- BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
- ACLS within one year of hire.

- Education: Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of critical care nursing practices and procedures.

Pay
Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Variable schedule to accommodate the needs of the ICU, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
