RN PRN 20P - Women & Children Adult ICU - 3rd Shift
About the role
AICU is an 8-bed Medical/Surgical Adult ICU at the Huntsville Hospital for Women/Children campus. Orientation typically lasts 6-12 weeks and is tailored to the individual's experience level.
Responsibilities
- Care for a variety of critical situations including hemorrhage, critical OB, CRRT, ventilators, and titrating drips.
- Train to care for critical Medical patients, Antepartum, Postpartum, GYN Oncology, GYN, ENT, and any adult patient requiring intensive monitoring.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to provide compassionate care to adult patients at the Women/Children campus.
- Participate in Shared Governance, Clinical Ladder programs, and CEU offerings.
- Respond to Rapid Responses and Code Blue situations for the adult patient population.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Alabama licensure.
- BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
- ACLS within one year of hire.
Qualifications
- Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, critical care environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of critical care procedures and protocols.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
