RN PRN 10P - Women & Children Adult ICU - 3rd Shift

About the role

AICU is an 8-bed Medical/Surgical Adult ICU at the Huntsville Hospital for Women/Children campus. Orientation consists of working with an experienced staff and length of orientation is typically 6-12 weeks depending on experience. AICU is the only adult critical care unit at the Women/Children campus.

Responsibilities

• Care for a variety of critical situations including hemorrhage, critical OB, CRRT, ventilators, and titrating drips.
• Train to care for a variety of critical situations including hemorrhage, critical OB, CRRT, ventilators, and titrating drips.
• Work closely with healthcare providers to provide excellent care and compassion to our customers.
• Participate in Shared Governance, Clinical Ladder programs, and CEU offerings available online & at Corporate University.

Requirements

• Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
• Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.
• Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
• BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
• ACLS within one year of hire.

Skills

The RN’s in AICU are trained to care for a variety of critical situations including hemorrhage, critical OB, CRRT, ventilators, and titrating drips.
