RN Staff - Mother Baby - FT -3rd Shift
About the role
RNs on our 38 bed Mother/Baby unit provide family centered couplet care. Shortly after delivery, a dedicated team of nurses help mom and baby with skin-to-skin bonding and breastfeeding. The Mother Baby unit allows for rooming-in, lactation support, and designated quiet hours.
Responsibilities
- Absess, educate, and care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
- Identify patient needs, prioritize care based on assessments, and be accountable for patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with multidisciplinary team members.
- Receive ongoing education and training related to maternal/newborn care and breastfeeding.
Requirements
- Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
- Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
- BLS and NRP required within 6 months of hire.
