About the role

We provide direct care to adult or pediatric/neonatal patients undergoing various interventional procedures. Our team ensures open and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage critically ill patients with complex heart disease and other co-morbidities throughout procedures.
• Provide constant monitoring of patients receiving moderate sedation.
• Develop and implement individual plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Intervene in emergency situations when necessary.
• Absorb and interpret hemodynamic waveforms.
• Operate complex physiologic recording computer systems.
• Maintain storage and retrieval systems for all records.
• Establish and maintain hemostasis at the arterial access site post-procedure.
• Prepare surgical trays, instruments, contrast media, and rooms for procedures.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures, including Neuro, EP studies, pacemaker implantation, and related procedures.

Requirements

• Accredited Program: Nursing
• ACLS American Heart E-Card
• BLS American Heart E-Card
• PALS American Academy of Pediatrics (PALS AAP)
• Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT)
• Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
• BSN preferred
• National Certification in area of clinical specialty (preferred)

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year RN experience required.
• One year of Cardiovascular Lab/ Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• One year of critical care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Acute/ Critical RN experience preferred.
