RN-Specialty, Cath Lab - OALH - PRN

About the role

We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibiting sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions; and maintaining involvement in activities aimed toward achieving unit and departmental strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Affirms learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient needs.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, method of introduction, explaining services or procedures, requesting permissions, and communication style.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Work Experience: None.
• Certifications: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Certification in Clinical Specialty Area.

Skills

Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed. Ability to demonstrate good judgement. Good interpersonal skills.
