Scope of work
The Cath Lab Nurse, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. They provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Beaumont policies and procedures. They work within a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating specialized care within the cath lab and across the cath lab care continuum (Pre/Intra/Post Lab) while using critical thinking and excellent communication.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree or equivalent.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N., or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years.
- Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience. Required: Critical Care, Cath Lab, or Procedural/OR experience.
- Preferred: LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan.
- Upon Hire required: CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown 2 Yrs required, CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association, or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross, or CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required.
