RN Sepsis Coordinator 7P-7:30A

Responsibilities

• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system to review ER monitors and identify patients at high risk for sepsis.
• Communicate findings promptly to the ER team and facilitate the implementation of sepsis protocols.
• Collaborate with the ER team to ensure appropriate tests, interventions, and follow-ups are conducted for high-risk patients.
• Conduct thorough follow-up assessments to monitor patient progress and ensure adherence to sepsis management plans.
• Serve as a resource and provide education to healthcare staff on sepsis identification, assessment, and management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to sepsis care and outcomes.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of nursing experience with two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Care coordination experience preferred.
