About the Role
This position involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive sepsis accreditation program, serving as an expert resource for sepsis care, and coordinating all sepsis workflows.
Responsibilities
- Review and update standards of care, policies, clinical pathways, protocols, and order sets to ensure best practices and optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with quality management and sepsis registry teams to ensure accurate data collection.
- Deliver education to healthcare professionals, patients, families, EMS, and community partners.
- Develop performance improvement plans and monitor sepsis patient care.
- Participate in hospital committees and contribute to regional and national advisory groups to advance sepsis care science.
- Promote a positive organizational image and stay current with evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-5 years clinical nursing experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or inpatient services
- New York State Registered Nurse license
Work Environment
- Office setting with exposure to equipment disinfectants
- Fast-paced environment with physical activity including walking, bending, and lifting patients
- Requires transportation for work-related travel
- Adheres to PPE guidelines per infection control standards
