RN - Senior Clinical Application Analyst

Responsibilities
- Learn the operation and maintenance of assigned software applications and interfaces.
- Adhere to HPH policies, regulatory requirements, and industry practices as defined by ITIL, ISO, and governmental agencies such as IDPH, IDHS, and CMS.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance, quality metrics, and patient safety goals are supported by Healthcare Information Systems.
- Serve as a primary technical contact for the operation, design, and support of assigned clinical systems, including Athena and Meditech.
- Collaborate with IT staff, user department representatives, superusers, and vendors to optimize the business benefit, reliability, and accuracy of clinical software applications.
- Review, adhere to, and recommend improvements to HPH IT department policies.
- Produce and maintain system-related documentation, including how-to instructions, procedures for IT staff, and run books for IT disaster recovery/business continuity.
- Help departments align their policies, operational procedures, and workflows with system functionality, and assist in developing downtime procedures.
- Communicate and document progress, challenges, and resolutions using designated tracking systems for projects, changes, incidents, requests, and training.
- Train new physicians (including doctors, PAs, APNs) using checklists to measure progress and affirm learning methods with user management annually.
- Develop and maintain learning materials for EHR (Meditech) training, including group sessions for new nurses as part of orientation.
- Train superusers and/or supervisors on new or revised functions, customizations, and upgrades, and provide learning materials for distribution.
- Utilize the HPH Learning Management System to define curriculum, publish courses, offer learning sessions, track student competency, and completion.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of common office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Zoom.
- Work assigned on-call (off-hours) rotation schedule and answer business hours help desk calls.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, families, users, colleagues, management, and vendors.
