About the role
The 12-month, comprehensive Nurse Residency program at Piedmont Newnan Hospital is designed to facilitate the transition from student to professional nurse. It includes precepted orientation led by dedicated preceptors and blended learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical judgment to recognize changes in patients' conditions and the urgency of clinical situations.
- Cultivate excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and support patients.
- Participate in cohort experiences designed to promote peer and professional socialization and strengthen professional commitment to nursing.
- Learn didactic content tailored to new graduates from professional nursing organizations.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Graduate of a nursing program.
- Minimum experience: New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
- Minimum licensure/certification: Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse and BLS certification required.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Graduate of a nursing program.
- Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree.
- Additional qualifications: Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
