Overview
Our purpose is to make a positive difference in every life we touch. The 12-month, comprehensive Nurse Residency program begins in October 2026. It facilitates your transition from student to professional nurse through education, mentorship, and peer support. The program teaches the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for continuous improvement in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient conditions and the urgency of clinical situations.
- Cultivate excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and support patients.
- Participate in cohort experiences designed to promote peer and professional socialization and strengthen your commitment to nursing.
- Learn didactic content tailored to new graduates from professional nursing organizations.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Graduate of a nursing program.
- Minimum Experience: New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse and BLS certification required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum Experience: New Graduates of a nursing program eligible.
- Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Additional Qualifications: Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
