Overview

Our purpose is to make a positive difference in every life we touch. Our 12-month, comprehensive Nurse Residency program facilitates the transition from student to professional nurse through education, mentorship, and peer support. It prepares new graduates by teaching essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors for continuous improvement in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient conditions and the urgency of clinical situations.
• Cultivate excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and support patients.
• Participate in cohort experiences designed to promote peer and professional socialization and strengthen professional commitment to nursing.
• Learn didactic content tailored to new graduates from professional nursing organizations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduate of a nursing program.
• Minimum Experience: New Graduates of a nursing program eligible.
• Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse, BLS certification required.
• Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred, advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
