About the role

The UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for experienced ICU Registered Nurses. Our ICU nursing opportunities may include positions on the following units:

  • ICU Resource Team ~ Experienced ICU Nurses who are able to work in several ICU units. Requires at least two years recent ICU experience in a variety of ICU units.
  • Surgical ICU ~ This is a 14 bed unit. Patient population includes direct recovery for ICU surgical cases and liver transplants. Requires two years recent ICU experience.
  • Medical/Oncology ICU . This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population on this unit includes medical ICU cases and Bone Marrow Transplants. Requires at least two years of recent ICU experience.
  • Cardiothoracic ICU ~ This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, vascular, heart and lung transplant, MCS, VV, ECLS, and TAVR. Requires at least two years recent ICU experience.
  • CCU ICU is a 21-bed unit. Patient population includes acute heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, pre heart transplant patients and post-cardiac cath lab procedures.

Responsibilities

Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers
Follow evidence-based nursing practices
Provide bedside for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes
Monitor and administer medications and IVs
Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

Requirements

  • 2 years of recent Registered Nursing work experience in an ICU Department
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State or valid Multistate license

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details

Pay Range Minimum: $46.97 hourly
Pay Range Maximum $86.17 hourly
Other Compensation $5.00/hour nights $4.00/hour weekends $3.00/hour evenings $1.25/hour Nursing Certification $1.00/hour BSN Premium Overtime Pay

Work Schedule

3x12 shift schedule
Night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)
Rotating weekend shifts required
