What You'll Do
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized nursing care plans.
- Career Development
- Coordinate resident care alongside physicians, therapists, social services, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of your nursing unit to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Aid in hiring, onboarding, staff development, scheduling, and performance management.
- Monitor clinical documentation, resident outcomes, and quality initiatives.
- Participate in leadership meetings and continuing education opportunities.
- Encourage innovation, recognize outstanding staff performance, and continuously look for ways to improve resident care and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- Current Vermont RN license (or eligibility through reciprocity).
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
- At least one (1) year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
- Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
- A collaborative leader who builds trust, mentors others, and creates an environment where employees can thrive.
