About the role
This position provides professional registered nurse services in a long-term care, skilled nursing care facility. The work includes assessing resident needs, suggesting appropriate nursing interventions, implementing orders and routines, and delivering skilled nursing care. The role may also coordinate, delegate, and review the work of other nursing staff members.
Schedule
- Shift: Overnight (10:30 pm – 7:00 am)
- Days off: Alternating weekly; Week 1: Wednesday, Monday, Tuesday; Week 2: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Hours per pay period: At least 64 hours in a 2-week pay period; additional hours may be required based on business needs
Pay
- Hourly range: $40.59 – $60.06
- Annual range: $84,752 – $125,405
- Shift differential: $2.75 per hour for all hours worked between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am

Requirements
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions and in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, or ability to be certified by date of hire
- Effective communication sufficient to provide and follow instructions and teach skills to residents
- Computer skills sufficient to complete electronic charting in PointClickCare
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or other senior healthcare environment
- Experience working with Veteran population
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care provided by other staff, make or recommend changes, and provide mentoring
- Knowledge of nursing practices and techniques sufficient to provide effective nursing care and make decisions within the scope of nursing responsibilities
- Effective interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships
- Experience with minimum data set (MDS) assessments
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check
- Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening or chest x-ray prior to employment
