Location: Mercy Coletta Cancer Center - Oklahoma City
Schedule
4 ten-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) with occasional weekend rotation
Overview
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Maintain professional accountability for assigned patient care
- Evaluate effectiveness of care delivered by direct care givers
- Coordinate patient care with other departments
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality
Requirements
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- 1 year of nursing experience preferred
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
Physical Requirements
- Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
