RN - Registered Nurse - Neuro - Days

About the role

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro team at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a comprehensive stroke unit specializing in neuro medical and neuro surgical patients. This Progressive Care Unit (PCU) takes pride in delivering optimal care in a Pathway to Excellence-designated environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently care for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
• Maintain professional accountability and development.

Requirements

• Current Florida RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (required).
• ACLS Certification (if required by department).
• Nurse Specialty certification (preferred).
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position.
• Shift: Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM.
• Weekend work: Every other weekend.
• On-call: Not required.
• Remote work: Never.
