About the role
Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the ICU at Bartow Regional Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
- Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient vitals and assessments
- Monitors, records, and updates care team on patient vitals and assessments
- Identifies sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition and responds to medical emergencies for critical patients
- Captures and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
- Exhibits high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
- Displays professional accountability and development
Requirements
- RN (Registered Nurse) License
- Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
- 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
- BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
