RN - Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Days)

About the role

The Procedural RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards. The RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team, is responsible for professional accountability and development, and performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care to a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
• Maintain professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set by a nationally recognized specialty organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in any setting.
• Strong preference for at least 1 year of RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service.
• Procedural experience preferred; Endoscopy experience strongly preferred.
• Licensed RN with completion of all Clinical Nurse requirements.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure (required).
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) certification if required by department.
• Associate's in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (preferred).
• Bachelor's in Nursing (preferred).
• Experience with an Interventional/Perioperative Internship (preferred).

• Location: Mease Dunedin Hospital, 601 Main St., Dunedin, FL 34698 (Endoscopy department and HomeCare).
• Status: Full-time.
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Shift 4: varies).
• Weekend Work: Occasional.
• On Call: Yes.
• Remote Work: Never.
