RN - Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Days)

About the role

Delivers care for a group of patients applying the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team. Responsible for professional accountability and seeks opportunities to develop. Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence. Functions as a preceptor or mentor within the department. May function in a charge role as needed.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process and clinical standards to deliver patient care
• Delegate patient care activities to other healthcare team members
• Promote evidence-based clinical care and pursue clinical excellence
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor within the department
• Assume charge role responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in any setting
• Licensed RN with completion of all Clinical Nurse requirements
• Associate’s degree or diploma in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) certification (if required by department)
• Nurse Specialty certification (preferred)

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Days)
• Occasional weekend work
• On-call requirement: Yes
• Remote work: Never
