RN - Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Days)

About the role

Operating Room RN position at Winter Haven Hospital (BayCare Health System, Surgery‑WHH). Full‑time, exempt: No. 10‑hour shifts with variable start times between 6:30 AM and 9:30 AM. On‑call required. Work is always in‑person; remote work not applicable. Occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization.
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of experience as an RN; strong preference for at least one year of RN experience in the Operating Room.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) certification if required by department.
• Preferred CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) specialty.
• Education: Associate’s Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
