RN - Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Days)

About the role

The Procedural RN is responsible for independently caring for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards. The RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team, ensures professional accountability, and supports development according to best practice standards set by a nationally recognized specialty organization. The role also includes serving as a preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

For this position, we prefer at least two years of acute care experience with 1 year of RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service. Procedural experience is preferred, and Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Independently care for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Ensure professional accountability and development according to best practice standards.
• Perform the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure.
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) certification if required by the department.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (Preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• 1 year of acute care experience or 1 year of interventional/procedural experience, or 6 months of RN acute care or interventional/procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
• Preferred experience includes 1 year in an Interventional/Perioperative Internship.

Schedule

• Full-time, in-person position.
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Shift 4, varies).
• Weekend work: Occasional.
• On-call: Yes.
