About the Role

The Registered Nurse Clinical Staff Leader ensures clinical care delivery and optimal patient outcomes. This role involves providing clinical patient care, serving as a role model for professional nursing practice, reviewing staffing based on patient acuity and needs, and assessing nursing service requirements relative to patient needs within the unit. The RN Clinical Staff Leader recommends corrective actions when appropriate.

About the Department

Our progressive and innovative surgical team fosters a challenging, dynamic, and state-of-the-art environment. The operating room consists of 34 operating rooms and four procedure rooms, completing over 20,000 procedures annually. As part of an academic medical center and a Level I Trauma Center, you will be exposed to a wide variety of patients and experiences. Services provided daily include general, vascular, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, ENT, transplantation, gynecology, urology, plastic and reconstructive, and pediatric surgery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience
  • Progressive leadership experience
  • AHA BLS certification prior to the end of orientation period
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
