RN Registered Nurse Clinical Staff Leader - 3 Acute Care Medical Oncology

About the role
The Registered Nurse Clinical Staff Leader ensures clinical care delivery and optimal patient outcomes. This role involves providing clinical patient care, serving as a role model for professional nursing practice, reviewing staffing based on patient acuity and needs, and assessing nursing service requirements relative to patient needs within the unit. The RN Clinical Staff Leader recommends corrective actions when appropriate.
Department
The 38-bed medical oncology unit serves patients with hematological and oncological malignancies from internal medicine, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, and other specialties. The unit also accommodates bariatric patients from all medical and surgical specialties. Nurses receive training in chemotherapy administration and the care of hematological/oncology patients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing required
- Two (2) years clinical experience required
- Progressive leadership experience required
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
- AHA BLS certification prior to end of orientation period
