Registered Nurse - Acute Care Oncology

About the role

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. The RN acts as a key liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions; assist in care planning and execute care plans with independent judgment.
• Coordinate patient flow and prioritize actions to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care provided, and incidents.
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, providing education, and communicating information to relevant parties.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing care quality, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement.
• Maintain professional licenses, pursue ongoing education, and stay current with industry best practices.
• Mentor and support the growth of other nurses, fostering a positive work environment aligned with shared governance principles.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• Valid RN license and current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and RN (single or multi-state compact).
