Responsibilities
- Proficiency in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills.
- Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.
- Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.
- Acting as a mentor and resource expert.
Qualifications
- Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required, RN (Registered Nurse) license is required, ACLS Certification if required by department.
- RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid. Nurse Specialty certification is preferred.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion.
- Experience: 2 years of RN experience is required, 1 year of leadership experience is preferred.
